ATHENS week, 16-22 March 2024
March is synonymous with ATHENS Week at ParisTech. Once again this year, a hundred or so European students come to the capital for a week of classes and to enjoy the atmosphere of the graduate engineering schools.
Once again this winter, Mines Paris - PSL welcomed European students registered for the ATHENS Parisian Week. Around a hundred of them made the journey from Leuven, Trondheim, Lisbon, Madrid, Bucharest, Delft, Warsaw, Milan, Munich, Istanbul, Prague and Vienna to attend an exciting week of courses at one of the two schools in the ParisTech network offering courses during this session, namely Arts et Métiers and Mines Paris - PSL.
Alma Catala, Director of International Relations at Mines Paris - PSL, who is currently coordinating the network, presented the practical details of the week to the students and gave a few instructions to ensure that everything ran smoothly. Florence Lelait, Managing Director of ParisTech, then presented the network and the opportunity for European students to apply for the engineering studies at the schools at Master's level in the frame of the ParisTech International Admission Program, which opens on June 1. Last but not least, two members of the Association des étudiants admis sur titre à l'École des Mines presented the festive side of the week, with a calendar of evening events organized for European students, a good opportunity to meet their French counterparts.
After this informative session, the European students enjoyed a well-deserved French-style snack with plenty of time for socializing. They were already booked for a Sunday tour of the capital's emblematic districts (Marais, Montmartre or Latin Quarter) before the start of classes on Monday March 18.
