International Women in Engineering Day 2021: seven ParisTech women who are flying the flag for French engineering excellence

Wednesday 23rd June was the 8th annual International Women in Engineering Day. INWED is an international awareness campaign that raises the profile of women in engineering and focuses attention on the amazing career opportunities available to women and girls in this exciting industry. To mark the occasion, the ParisTech schools decided to showcase the work and accomplishments of some of their women students and alumni.

By shining a spotlight on these women and their achievements, the schools hope to show young women interested in science and engineering that they can succeed in the world of STEM, and inform and inspire those who might not otherwise have considered a career in these fields. Encouraging more girls to study engineering is one of the key ways in which ParisTech is seeking to promote gender equality.

Read on to meet seven women whose achievements highlight the value of a French engineering qualification and the transdisciplinary nature of the ParisTech network.
