Paristech welcomes the Shanghai Jiao Tong University to France: a further step in mutual co-operation

ParisTech welcomed representatives from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) on 3 and 4 April 2014, led by its President, Professor ZHANG Jie.

A strategic alliance between four ParisTech Grandes Écoles (École Polytechnique, ENSTA ParisTech, MINES ParisTech and Telecom ParisTech) and SJTU University, gave rise to the École d’ingénieurs ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong (SPEIT). This was inaugurated on 26 April 2013 by the President of France, Mr. François Hollande.

The year 2014 marks the first anniversary of this Foundation Agreement, whilst being an essential cornerstone in celebrating the 50th anniversary of Franco-Chinese relations.

The visit to France by Shanghai Jiao Tong University is therefore a further step in mutual co-operation with ParisTech.
