Every year, Lycée Français de Shanghai organizes a “Salon des formations” to inform students about study opportunities after the baccalauréat.
As in previous years, ParisTech was invited to participate in this Salon on October 28. Our ParisTech coordinator in Asia, Minhua Yang, represented ParisTech and met hundreds of high school students and their parents. Students from our schools were also present to share their experiences, and the event was a great success.
Our 6 schools were a big hit with the students of Lycée Français. Admissions procedures, choice of majors, professional integration, job opportunities - all subjects were covered, and greatly helped the high school students and their parents to project themselves into their future studies.
We'd like to thank our 4 guest students ( Bastien Petit - Arts et Métiers, double degree at Tongji University; Gabriel Fleury - Arts et Métiers, double degree at Shanghai Jiaotong University; Hugo Poux, Chimie ParisTech - PSL, semester exchange at Shanghai Jiaotong University; Lise DEPINAY, Mines Paris - PSL, semester exchange at Shanghai Jiaotong University), for coming along to share their experiences. There's nothing like talking to an alumni to get a real feel for what it's like to study at a ParisTech school! Exchanges such as these are crucial to making the right choice of study.
The Salon ended with a magnificent cocktail reception. ParisTech Asia once again thanks Lycée Français de Shanghai for organizing this event and giving us the opportunity to talk face-to-face with these young people and better understand their needs.
